wall to wall perfection

That early morning of July 10, 2017 the moon reaching fullness hung low in the western sky. That was my first clue that the day would be as close to perfect as one could possibly experience. I was wrong. It was not close to perfect-- it was perfect. Wall to wall blue sky, a brisk north west wind and Molly and I were right there in it all. First we headed to Martinique because the tide was high and it is one beach where no matter the tide there is an expanse of sand to stretch your legs on. Home for a bowl of soup then off to Little Lawrencetown Beach where the Kite Surfers were like flowers in a meadow --colourful kites soaring in the wind and surfers riding the sea with enormous speed and grace. The afternoon had just begun really when at Conrad’s Salt Marsh a bald eagle soared just out of range of my hungry lens, but we did get a picture of a Pintail Duck and her brood idly paddling just off an eddy that swirled by the current. The board walk at Conrad’s Beach is not to be hastened through, for the wild roses on the hill, and the salt marsh below set the stage for the path through the dune to the sea.  
On the hill to home Brad stopped us. Rolled down the window of his truck and offered to take my Kayak to the rack at Bell Lake where my house is being built. It is a beautiful rack and there sits my kayak waiting for me to buy a life jacket today to engage with the motor- free lake where I now call home.
