Sometimes you Just Get that Shot

A short two weeks ago, or so, Alanagh, Molly, and I drove to Thunder Bay with a dear friend.  This morning I was reviewing my one thousand plus photos, thinking, although some what over whelmed by the sheer volume of them, that I would send some along to you in my blog.
It was a magical time for me, going to, and staying in, Thunder Bay: feasting on the landscape(s), drinking in the waterscapes, warming with long-time friends and family, visiting long ago and far away haunts like the Hoito, Vi’s Tavern, Mount McKay, and eating Persians! And so, on this morning of June 16, with rain teaming, I sat at my computer: reflective, grateful, comfortable, and happy. There was a movement in my peripheral vision. I looked, jumped up, grabbed my camera, and rejoiced watching the Cedar Waxwings feeding in the old mountain ash, as they have done since I was a child, lying on a cot, peering into the tree, catching them forever in my mind’s eye.
Enjoy.
